How we live in the 21st Century....

We live in an age of instant... Not too long ago it tooks months for word and news to travel. People would long be gone and half rotted by the time we knew of their untimely death. Now, we pick up the phone and within seconds the news is relayed. Then if for somereason your famous or news worthy you untimely end is played for the world to see and know. It is broadcast across the airways, Tweets run rampant, and the information is disseminated so fast before we know it another chapter in our lives is closed.

As a civilization we have access to more knoweldge and information then ever before. Lives change before our own eyes. As before information traveled at a snails pace considering the cheetah speed of today. Things are only going to get faster. WE are only going to be able to watch more horror and more death and destruction live, or in a instant as it happens. Heck one day we might even be able to be present before a crime is committed the way things are going now. I actually want a slower pace of life right now. I want the whole world to slow down and talk with one another. Touch one each other, be forced to react in other forms other than virtually.

Fence sitters

You know nothing gets under my skin more than fence sitters. Now you may not know what i mean by fence sitters but they are the people i define as ones that play both sides of a conflict. I sit everynight this week at work as people sit across from me and "secretly" talk back and forth against me or about me. Which i find totally funny and stupid. If they want to put me on an island i am cool with that because this job i know for sure i can complete without their input or help. I only did this job for years before they came into the picture. So let the games begin because the only people i have to talk to are not in this office but out in the field. I own a couple sets of headphones. I love a challenge.

You know this is a picture that has been buried under all the other just many many photos I go around sapping shots of. This is clematis. Is you know plants you know clematis. This is after the bloom has fallen off and then this wonderful thing happens.

Clematis actually has it all figured out. Life is not as simple as people with or even think it will be. It only gets more and more difficult as you push along. Clematis know this. This represents the workings off life and how complicated such a simple thing can become. Before you know it there are twists and turns and weves in between oneself.

I have a lot to post but no time. I have actually not been to sleep yet but have to be up in about 2 hours or so to keep moving stuff out of the house. My life is going so fast right now... toodles... Start Mohawk Monday..

Mohawk bound...

I think I am Mohawk bound again.. Not sure but I got to find out how fast I can rent my house and if it is possible even. Then I got to find a place to live up North. This is going to be the biggest challenge in my life financially as I am going to have to call in some favors.. Then call in some more favors. I do not know what to do. Take the job and not have a placeto live for a while. Not take the job and loose the house anyways..

Crossroads..

We all come to a major point in our lives where we are standing in the middle of the road with only two choices to choose from. We can either make that left turn and go in one direction or turn to the right and go in another. I am at this point. There has been good news in the past couple of weeks and there has been some bad news to boot. It is a matter of which I want to look at. Life has been throwing some mighty curve balls at me and I am just tying to swing for the fences. At the same time I have been getting as many out of the strike zone almost enough to walk me. I am in the full count now and I have to decide whether to swing, or take my chances on the wild pitch. The pitcher is in the wind up already and ready to release... I stand in front of him with a blank mind and no idea what the hell I am going to do. I am at a loss. I need guidance but have no where to turn.

I started packing the house up. Only the non-essential items. I have been slowly liquidating the rest of the house piece by piece. T.V. here, dryer here, furniture this and that.. Things that have just cluttered my house since I moved here but if I have to move again will not want to take with me or pay for the storage of the items. Working in the yard today I followed my same routine. Cut the grass and cleaned around the outside of the house in anticipation of the heavy rains expected in the evening hours.

Pruned the roses and prepared them for the rest of the summer with a little nutrients and a treatment of chemicals to halt the rust and black spot that is tearing through the plants. I have a small urban garden this year and it is already producing hefty yields of cucumber and tomatoes. When I say hefty I mean as soon as I pick one cucumber it seems I have five more that appeared the next day. The cucumber plant was not even taken out of the planters that I purchased from Wal-mart. They are still nicely tucked into the tray and the roots have grown through the bottom of the plastic little container that they are sold to you in.


In that picture you can see the vine in the early stages of creeping over the retaining wall. Now, I have a kudzu variety of cucumber plant that has taken over the whole bed. Almost killing a rose plant and my glads, which by the way are beautiful again this year..

I miss Mohawk and the relationships I had there. Mostly of all I miss the hours and the work. It was straight forward. I had my assignment and I knew how to complete it and I did, to the best of my ability. I hope somethingcomes through this week and works everything out just like it should...

Seeing as how he is NOT a dog person he surely does love the puppies.. Our family has dogs in twos... Not ones or threes but pairs.. I caught this picture on the day before Mothers Day none the less..

 

 

 

Driving home.... Never a dull moment inmy life.. I leave Nashville around 3 pm Sunday evening and while I am on the way I start feeling a little vibration and it starts to get worse and worse. It is only truly bad when my foot is not on the gas pedal pushing it down. When I decelerate the car is not acting right and wobbly. So I pull over in no mans land to discover three of five lugs loose and one of five snapped off completely. This is the repair I managed to do in Wal-Mart's parking lot. Pretty good job considering the time of evening and I had no tools.. AND to mention I am not a mechanic and have never EVER done this before. But boldly go where no one Christopher has gone before..

Slapped with a judgement of $100,000 my insurance compnay paid out to a motorcylce driver that decided that I would be his pay day. Struggling in life right now with everything just trying to make things work. We reflect on what we have.. Friends and pets... Thanks to B for taking this picture of me and his new addition to the family of his. Sweet Tea is her name and she is te cutest thing I have seen in a long while. Today is the day...

Today is the day that will hinge many things in my life. Dreaded Tax day for 2009 has many more meanings to me this year then old uncle Sam.
I have so much on my mind right now.
Well, I am off to my first Dr's appointment. Then I ave a second at 1345. and in between I hope to get a call about a pending lawsuit... Ohh and I have to refile this past years taxes.. Things are not looking up for today..

Lazy Saturday

 
One lazy Saturday I got the grand idea to bring the dog into the bed with me.. Big mistake... When your dog is as tall as you are when you lay down it tends to be a tight fit in the bed.. Needless to say shortly after shooting somepictures and video I kicked him off of the bed. The other dog is to fat and lazy to want to get in the bed anyways... So that is never a problem but this young buck thinks it is his entitlement now.. Big mistake on my part..

 



I find this picture amusing. Just sitting there watching himself in the mirror. Wondering who it is staring back at him.. I feel like that is me sometimes.

Unreal Vivid Dreams....

It is funny. During these hard times depression is rampant and prescribing the pills to treat it even more. I admit I have had a time with things going on around me. I have been taking Wellbutrin now for about two weeks. The dreams are more vivid and real than ever. It feels like I am right there sleep walking or running about in m dreams. The scenery is so real and the people are so real. In full HD and color. I am going to start writing them down when I wake up to start a little book about them so if they come true I can claim the status of a psychic.

The funny part about the medicine though is it is cheaper to take than the stuff that I have to take to keep me alive.The Wellbutrin costs $20 bucks for me to take a month verses the $35 bucks (these are co-pays of course) it costs to get my insulin to fill in my Animas insulin pump that also cost about $200 a month to operate. Where is the disconnect here? Where is the problem? Where is the?????? I have lost my mind on this medication. I cannot think of the word that deals with the ______________ of our medical system that would allow a SHIT.... I have really lost my mind on these drugs...

Is actually my footage from the fire. They also have a personal interview with me about the fire because I was one of the first people on the scene to get footage of the fire and still pictures of it. Although it is tragic because I pass that building EVERYDAY and people perished in the fire I hope this brings to light the amount of squatters that roam through Atlanta and the amount of help that is needed for them.

The world famous ghetto burger

This was not my first visit to Anne's snack shack. My first visit yielded me getting threatened with a knife to wait on the patio. But after much patience i found a new burger joint that offers a meal for two at a great price. One honking burger and a plate full of fries. Lord if it was not for the duct tape holding the building together she would have been out of business a long time ago. But after 35 years she is doing something right.
